The Background: Experience In Rail And Innovation
With over 10 years experience in the rail industry, MobilGrain today operates over 500 kms in central and western Saskatchewan:
Last Mountain Railway between Davidson and Regina;
Big Sky Railway between Saskatoon and Beechy and Laporte.
Driven by their core principles of innovation, integrity and technology, MobilGrain has brought new concepts to grain transportation, enhancing their customers ability to ship grain to export by:
providing access to their fleet of covered hoppers; and
engineering a portable grain loading process allowing producers to load a railcar within 10 minutes.
These same core principles have changed the way that grain and potash are loaded into vessel with the introduction of weigh-in-motion scales at MobilGrain’s facility (MobilEx Terminal) at Thunder Bay for the loading grain and potash into vessels.
MobilGrain core principles and railway experience give Saskatchewan a new and innovative intermodal terminal.
